Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering works closely with the manufacturing industry to give its students a combination of real world exposure with sound academic grounding. Courses offered train students in thermal and fluids engineering by using experimental test rigs. Design-related aspects of the course are taught through models and computer-based packages. Manufacturing and industrial engineering concepts are imparted through project work. The annual intake of this Department is reserved to 60 students.
